Our port power controllers integrate a single USB port power switch, capable of up to 2.5A of continuous current, as well as a USB 2.0-compliant data switch. These solutions also include up to 10 preloaded battery charger emulation profiles that are compatible with BC1.2 CDP, DCP, YD/T-1591 as well as most Apple® portable devices. When a portable device is plugged in, the controller will automatically cycle through these profiles until charging commences. These controllers also allow portable device charging when an application or host is in standby or in a sleep state. Target applications include notebook and desktop computers, tablets, monitors, docking stations, printers and AC/DC wall adapters.
