Enabling New Capabilities for Space

RT PolarFire® FPGAs combine our 60 years of space flight heritage with the industry’s lowest-power PolarFire FPGA family to enable new capabilities for space applications. With 481,000 Logic Elements (LEs), 33 Mb of embedded SRAM, 1,480 DSP blocks and 24 lanes of 10 Gbps transceivers, these radiation-tolerant FPGAs enable higher computing and connectivity throughput for mission-critical systems at 40 to 50% lower power than competing SRAM FPGAs while delivering greater immunity to configuration Single-Event Upsets  (SEUs).

The Libero® SoC Design Suite supports commercial PolarFire FPGAs, which can be used today to start design activity for RT PolarFire FPGAs. Libero SoC software includes synthesis support for Triple Module Redundancy (TMR), which can be used for SEU mitigation. To run designs in hardware, you can use the RT PolarFire FPGA Development Kit(RTPF-DEV-KIT) or PolarFire FPGA Evaluation Kit (MPF300-EVAL-KIT).
