Monitoring the locations of medical care staff, patients and equipment in real time can lead to significant improvements in the quality and operational efficiency of healthcare. As illustrated in the diagram above, Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology can pinpoint people and assets with absolute position coordinates (X, Y, Z) by calculating the distance between UWB anchor nodes (black), assets (purple), medical care staff (red) and patients (yellow) wearing UWB tags. The coordinator (green) node aggregates distance information collected by the anchor nodes and applies trilateration principles to develop a real-time location map to efficiently manage healthcare services and staff.
We offer industry-leading UWB devices that operate in the 6.2–8.3 GHz frequency range to provide low power consumption in battery-powered devices. These devices also have an integrated security layer to detect and prevent physical layer attacks.
