The PIC24FJ GA family of microcontrollers (MCUs) enables extremely cost-effective designs for Internet of Things (IoT) sensor nodes, portable medical devices and industrial control applications. In addition to eXtreme Low Power (XLP) technology, these devices feature integrated crypto modules, segmented LCD drivers, 12-bit Analog-to Digital Converters (ADCs), cryptographic engine, dual-partition Flash panels, 10-bit Digital-to-Analog Converters (DACs) and much more.

This family comes packed with Core Independent Peripherals (CIPs), such as Configurable Logic Cell (CLC), Multi-Output Capture Compare Pulse Width Modulation (MCCP) module and Direct Memory Access (DMA), which allow you to accomplish tasks in hardware while freeing up the Central Processing Unit (CPU) to perform other tasks or go to sleep.

Dual Partition Flash with Live Update Capable of storing two independent software applications, including bootloader, to enable programming of one partition while executing application code from the other and allow run-time switching between active partitions
Direct Memory Access (DMA) Dedicated DMA controller supporting both memory and peripheral data transfers to reduce CPU workload
Scalable Flash memory densities range from 16 KB to 1024 KB and RAM ranging from 4–32 KB with packages ranging from 28- to 121-pin options
