Overhead Console

An overhead console consists of dome lights and courtesy lights. These lights enhance visibility when entering and exiting the vehicle and provide lighting for reading and other activities. Dome lights illuminate automatically when a key fob is activated or when the vehicle’s door is opened. They can also be manually controlled via mechanical or capacitive touch buttons.

Communication with the overhead console typically takes place via the LIN bus and can be accomplished cost-effectively by utilizing our System-In-Package (SIP) solutions that consist of a microcontroller (MCU), LIN transceiver and voltage regulator integrated into a single package.
