Designed for use by both analog and digital engineers, this comprehensive suite of resources bundles a navigable overview of our analog and interface products, advanced online design support software, a fast and accurate analog circuit simulator, downloadable PCB footprints and schematic symbols for CAD designs and our online design review service. Leverage our easy-to-use tools today to reduce complexity, cost and design time in your mixed-signal, interface and power applications.

The Story of Leroy and Lenny

Leroy is a talented, seasoned engineer but has discovered that his apprentice Lenny doesn't like to simulate his designs before testing them. Lenny finds out the hard way what can happen when his gut feeling is tested in many ways. He is learning to change his ways and Leroy is there to ensure that he does.

MPLAB® Analog Designer

Online power solutions, accelerated

MPLAB Analog Designer (MAD) allows you to choose an existing solution or customize a suggested design. Schematics and component lists are included. View or modify your choice and, with one click, export the design files to MPLAB Mindi Analog Simulator for verification and analysis.

Simulate It

MPLAB® Mindi™ Analog Simulator

Did you simulate that?

Reduce circuit design time and design risk by simulating analog circuits prior to hardware prototyping with MPLAB Mindi Analog Simulator. The simulation tool uses a SIMetrix/SIMPLIS simulation environment, with options to use SPICE or piecewise linear modeling and is paired with proprietary model files from Microchip to model specific Microchip analog components in addition to generic circuit devices. MPLAB Mindi Analog Simulator installs and runs locally on your PC which allows for fast and accurate analog circuit simulation.

CAD/Ultra Librarian®

Schematic symbols and PCB footprints for our products

PCB footprints and schematic symbols are available for download in a vendor-neutral format that can then be exported to the leading EDA CAD/CAE design tools using the Ultra Librarian Reader. The Ultra Librarian Reader is a subset of the Ultra Librarian toolset that can generate, import and export components and their attributes in virtually any EDA CAD/CAE format. Footprints generated by Ultra Librarian are based on the IPC-7351 specification.

5 Easy Steps:

  1. Login or register for MyMicrochip.
  2. Go to the product page for the Microchip device and click the "Symbols" drop-down.
  3. Use the dropdown options to find the device
  4. Click on the "Choose CAD Formats & Download" link to format the files for the CAD software you are using.
  5. Click on the "Submit" button to download your files.
